Follow Friday!

Q:  Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

I can only read one book at a time.
I don't see how people can read multiple books at the same time. I tried it - and it doesn't work. What happens to me is  the characters and stories get mixed up in my mind and jumbled together and the next thing you know Edward {twilight} and Rose {vampire academy} are hooking it up.

So now you know - I'm a one book kinda gal.

What about you?
Do you/Can you read more than one book at a time?

  2. haha Rose and Edward gettin it on! I dunno that just doesn't happen to me. I've been told by others that I have a really good memory so maybe that is why it doesn't bother me. Sometimes if a book is really good I just read through it. But other times I need variety. Thanks for visiting My FF! I'm now following GFC, Linky, and goodreads!

  3. Hahaha your answer made me laugh! Could you imagine Rose and Edward in the same room? I'd put my money on Rose!

But this is what would happen to me as well if I read more than one book. Stories just wouldn't be the same.

  4. Only time I read more than one is if I've started one on my nook. Otherwise I like to keep it to one like you. New follower!

  5. I definitely enjoy reading only one book at a time, too. Of course, it doesn't always work out that way for me. At least one book at a time will keep you sane! I probably won't be able to tell the difference from the real world and the ones I'm reading about soon!

Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by! :D

  6. Thx for stopping by my blog. Yup, I'm the weirdo who can read and listen to music. However, I don't read more than 2 books at a time. :-)

  7. Hahaha, very similiar here. I can sometimes read more than one, but not at the same time... It's more like I put one on hold, read another one, and when I'm finished I'll continue reading the one I put on hold. :D

  8. I swap between reading one at a time and multi-reading, but the characters do tend to mix up! Rose and Edward babies- might not want to mention their relationship in your review... :p

  10. Thanks for stopping by!

I tend to get characters confused, too, even with my "gym read." And when I get bored with my gym read...forget it. It sits on my GR currently reading list forever.

  11. I only read more than one when I feel like it's necessary! It does get confusing, I usually have to either take notes or read back when I switch back to the other book.

    Thanks for stopping by LIO!

  12. I swear I just wrote up a comment and I don't see it. If there are multiples I'm sorry! LOL

I do get confused when I read more than one at a time. I always either skim over what I've already read again or take notes.

    Thanks for stopping by LIO!

  16. I can read multiple books, but I try to choose different genres to avoid the Rose hooking up with Edward mix-ups. Its not always 100% effective, but most of the time that helps.

  19. Yanno... Rose might be good for Edward. At least she'd put him in his place and wouldn't take all that bossing about from him! =P

  23. I can only read one book, but yet I can edit a few of them at the same time. So it's like reading a couple of books at once!

  24. I sometimes read 2 books at once but mostly I fall in love with a book and can't put it down :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I know the feeling!! I can read two at once as long as one is hard copy and one is an ebook, and there's not much at all in common with the two. I take notes on my thoughts as well, that helps me keep track. Thanks for stopping by :)
