Follow Friday!

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

First book that immediately pops into my mind:
{via}
Oh, how I loved this book.
The story, the writing, the characters - everything!
I fear what the movie will turn out to be!
Fingers crossed it'll be awesome but I don't know.

What about you?
What's one book you'd be nervous to see adapted into a movie?

  2. Hey, hi!! New follower here!! I agree - Insurgent is so great and has so much going on. I can't imagine a movie capturing all of it, although I'd have to go see it!!! :-D

  3. I have yet to read this one, though I do plan on reading it right before Insurgent comes out so that I can read them in quick succession (I have zero patience therefore trying to make it easier on myself haha)

    Thanks for sharing!

  4. Yes, I agree! I love this book a lot and I'm curious to see if it would live up to its book. I'd love to know who they would cast as Tris and Four.

  5. I agree! I can't imagine they'd do a good job for this movie just because there're so many things going on at once! Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Ahhhh, OMG! I'm actually reading this book right now! :) I totally agree with you on this! If it's ever made into a movie, we can only hope they choose a great cast and make the factions seem as they do in the book!

  7. I picked Divergent too! I loved that book and can't wait to read Insurgent. I totally think that movie makers wouldn't do it justice.

  13. I love Divergent also and am really looking forward to May 1st when the sequel comes out. (: But I have a feeling that this would actually look good in a movie - sort of Harry Potter sorting into dorms thing going on and then the whole epic/action storyline. It's an amazing book yep.

  15. Isn't there going to be a movie? Hmm... I'm not sure if it would translate to the big screen well either.

  16. I'm not sure what the Divergent movie will be like- it may be good or it may be too childish.

  17. I saw a lot of people who choose this book to. It is always a scary thing when a book is going on the big screen. Most of the time the story would be ruined.

  23. I think it'll definitely be interesting to see how they translate Divergent into a movie. If they can find the right Tris and Four, it could be great.
Happy Friday! And thanks for stopping by my blog. :-)

  29. Hi Tish!!:)

I agree Divergent would be tricky, but I really enjoyed The Hunger Games so maybe.....;)

Yes I agree VA could be a better tv series than movie, since I love The Vampire Diaries....

Thank you for visiting!! Also thank you for following!!

  32. I'm reading that book right now! I like it so far. There would be a lot of paranormal romances I'd be nervous about. Yet even though True Blood is different from the books, the series still turned out awesome!

  35. Divergent was a great book, but I don't think it would translate well onto the big screen. Hopefully someone high up in the movie industry will think like we do!
