What I'm LOVING Wednesday

Hi! Happy Wednesday!

I'm LOVING that I hung out with my girls on Friday night. We laughed so hard that we had tears coming out reminiscing about our old Baskin Robbin days and old co-workers. Good times.

I'm LOVING that Saturday was my friend Stephanie's baby shower. I'm super excited for her! The food was great, the games were fun...it was overall an awesome time!

I'm LOVING that my blanket (baby shower gift) went over really well! To see more pictures click here.

I'm LOVING the app "My Fitness Pal". It really is awesome. I recommend it to you if you're trying to lose or maintain your weight. It really makes you feel accountable for everything you eat/drink. And it's helping motivate me to go to the gym!

What are YOU LOVING this week?

My Writing Process: a blog tour

The terrific Taylor at Tea With Mrs. Kee asked me if I wanted to participate in a blog tour sharing about my writing process. And altho I don't have a specific writing process I am excited to participate in this!

Here we go:

1. What am I working on?
Right now I'm working on increasing the amount of blogging I'm currently doing. I've kinda fell off the map and the traffic to my blog fell off (which of course I know the two go hand in hand).
I miss all the fun link-ups I use to do (How Pinteresting, and Virtual Coffee and What I Love Wednesday). So I have to decide what to post about and be creative!

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I think my blog is unique because I'm writing it (duh) but I do a combo of things that are important to me: my crafty crochet stuff and my reading and my running (when I use to run). Instead of focusing on one topic I like to jump around.

3. Why do I write what I do?
For the Ego Stroke. Seriously. Sounds weird but I LOVE when I post something I've made and everyone tells me how awesome it is. I LOVE that. I'm an affirmations person so I get what I need from this here blog (for the most part).  And I write what interests me. Sometimes I'd like to write more personal/vent-y post but I don't really have the guts to do that. Maybe one day. But for now I'll continue with the feel goods.

4. How does your writing process work?
It usually starts the old fashion way with a pen and pad and then I write. erase. write. tear up. write. ball up. Type. delete-delete,delete (for when I do use the computer). And then I put it away to never look at it again because I'm embarrassed. I have TONS of books, pads, journals and pieces of rando paper with my thoughts, stories and ideas hidden around my house. I probably have a mini novel stored somewhere! My process is weird. I know. But I bet (I hope) I'm not the only one who does this.

Well that's my process! In addition to checking out Taylor's blog you should check out these incredible women's blogs. They'll be posting their writing process next week!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

What I'm LOVING Wednesday -- is this still a "thing"?

I'm not sure but I'm going to go with it. I miss doing this and it was such a great way for someone like me (who is incredibly realistic and can be a bit of a negative nancy) to have positive thoughts.

I'm LOVING that my lil centerpiece from Jenn's wedding is still going strong! I love the color and these flowers. Hope it keeps trucking on for another week or few!

I'm LOVING my tervis tumbler. My dad and stepmom hipped me to these babies. I got one for Christmas and had to go to BB&B to get a second one yesterday. I carry this around with me all the time. It's helping me break up with Dr. Pepper...kindasorta.

I'm LOVING my current reads The Husband's Secret and The Fault In Our Stars. Both are awesome! It's taking me forever + a day to read but that's because I want to take every word in (and plus I have like no time to read right now).

and I'm LOVING these things on Pinterest:

Tuesday Coffee Break

Good Morning!

It's been so long since I've done a virtual coffee with you gals!

I hope things are going well for you!

Have you time for a quick sip of coffee with a side of chat?

Sip #1:
Yesterday I did an awesome guest post over at Going the Distance and shared some photos of Jenn's beautiful wedding.

If you haven't checked it out - please do! Have you any good posts/guests posts today?

Sip #2
Easter was awesome! I made a trip up with my mom to visit one of my aunt's in Pittsburgh that Easter Saturday.
I was happily surprised to see my little cousin home from RIT that weekend. My dad has five sisters and out of the bunch this aunt and her hubby and kids I'm the closest too. They are just such a terrific family.  Easter Sunday was spent at my mom's sister's house back home in MD and that was pretty awesome too! Lots of good food AND I even got all pinteresty on them and made some dyed deviled eggs.
How was your Easter?

Sip #3
Work has been interesting. They "let go" my general manager last week, so my co-workers and I are determined to kick butt and keep bring in the $$$. I have a goal of getting back to President's Club for this year.

How's work for you? Anything interesting going on?

Sip #4
I have been slacking big time on my blog writing! I need to get back into it! I really liked the link ups I use to do: How Pinteresting and What I Love Wednesdays - are either of those still "things"? Any good link-ups you recommend?

Anyhoo. I need to get focused and get work done! Chat with me - what's going on in your world?

I'm Wishing on a Star!

A purple and white star!

I'm making this into a baby blankie but if I stopped at this round I think it would make a nice hotpad or wash cloth.

What have you been working on?

Crochet Dream{Catcher}

Hello there!

I spent my Sunday working on this beauty:

And I LOVE the outcome!!

It's not photographing as well as I'd hope it would but trust me...in real life it's really pretty!

I'm thinking I'll make one or two more for myself to hang and maybe a couple for my Etsy shop.

I may even add some feathers and beads and turn it into a dream catcher. Wouldn't that be great?!

-Trish!
