Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme,
hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm

"As for me, I took on a role I hadn't had in ages and practically felt like a king at my own court. One thing I'd learned over the years was that confidence had a powerful effect on others, and if you acted like you deserved their attention, they believed it."

Isn't this just SO true?
Why do they put these cheesy looking covers on such enjoyable books?
What are you reading?

  1. Sounds almost like a motivational speech and yes, so true!

  2. You know, Trish. I have the same question about book covers. I know I have missed some good reads, because of the "crappy" covers." About the teaser - My Wonderful, my hubby, and I play this game of "they said". If we want VIP entrance somewhere, we just say, "they said....." and a lot of times it works. Funny how if you believe it, so will others.

  3. Very true. I loved this series and am sorry that it is over. My YA teaser this week comes from School for Sidekicks by Kelley McCullough. Happy reading!

  4. It is very true. Almost like fake it til you make it!

  5. It's amazing what a little confidence can get you. Great teaser. I'm not a fan of the cover either. I try not to judge books by the cover, but sometimes the cover is what makes me decide to take a closer look at a book--or not. I am glad you are enjoying this one!

  6. I totally judge a book by its cover! Great teaser. Here's mine:

  7. That is a teaser that makes you think! How true it is about confidence. If you show you deserve something you usually will get it. I'm not to sure about the cover since I'm not sure about the book. I will need to look at the description of the book more to see how the cover relates. I think a cover should relate to what the book is about tho!

Thank you for stopping over at my blog earlier! Hope to talk with you more often.
