Loves/Hates {Gifs edition}

The fantabulous Jenn @ Going the Distance tagged me in her very cute & funny Loves/Hates post so I'm excited to do my very own! I'm being a straight up copycat and adding gifs just like Jenn did in her post (I just started using gifs in text messages like 3 weeks ago so I'm geeked to add them to my blog post).

LOVES:

Commission Checks - my hard work in the form of $$
...
Movie Nights with Troy - good mid-week quality time!
...
Girls Night in - Love having quality time with my galpals...even when we're just hanging out at the house.
...
Phone Games - I love them all. The only reason I get anxious if I can't find my phone is because I can't play my games. Yahtzee, Cooking Fever, SimCity Buildit...
Don't act like this wasn't your jam
Amazon Giftcards - I earned a few gift cards from a work blitz and I love seeing the packages my front door of goodies I've ordered.

"As for me, I took on a role I hadn't had in ages and practically felt like a king at my own court. One thing I'd learned over the years was that confidence had a powerful effect on others, and if you acted like you deserved their attention, they believed it."

Isn't this just SO true?
Why do they put these cheesy looking covers on such enjoyable books?

Weekending

*exhale*
Monday.

This weekend has been pleasantly uneventful. **thank goodness***

FRIDAY:
After work I picked up some chick fil a and parked myself on the couch. Finished up Sons of Anarchy and then watched 2 episodes of True Detective. I'm not sold yet...

SATURDAY:
FINALLY a beautiful weather day. I couldn't get of bed and into my swimsuit quick enough.
After swimming, sunning and snoozing, I headed to my mom's house to walk and feed Sammie while she was away.
Finished the day up grocery shopping and bathroom cleaning.
Shopping at the grocery store at 10pm was quite nice. I could take my time, no long lines and no bumping into anyone's cart.

SUNDAY:
After some errands I put on my swimsuit and headed to the pool for day #2 of beautiful sunshiney day!

After the pool I decided to do some thing out of the ordinary - I cooked!

I made some egg-muffins for the week.
Just eggs, cheese, ham, tomatos, red and green peppers. Backed for 20 mins at 375
Hopefully having these handy will curve my desire (and save me some money) of going to Dunkin Donuts each morning...not that I do go every morning...but I go too frequently.

After those baked I threw this into the oven: Pepper Jack Cheese Chicken
Recipe via: Prepared Housewives
Super easy to make (right up my alley) and tasty.

And since I was on a roll I went ahead and did some snack bags for the week:

Makes life easy to just open the fridge and grab one of these snacks. And hopefully with these handy I'll skip all the junk food that I typically grab...we'll see!

Finished the weekend with my feet up on the table and a beer! I'll be spending everyday this week wishing it was the weekend!

That's it for my weekend!

Five on FrrriiiYAY

Yay for Friiday!
via

{ONE} Payday...YAY!
I got my happy shoes on. Today is commission day! If you live or have ever had to live on a commission based income then you can relate to my excitement.  Plus this is the last commission check until September (for some odd reason we don't get one in the month of August). I'll have to take this check and stock up on the ramen noodles to get me thru the next few weeks.

{TWO} - Fraud Alert
Some sucker got a hold of my credit card and started charging it up on some electronics website. UGH. I've never had this happen before - have you? My credit card company alerted me but only after 3 charges were made. We'll see how this plays out.

{THREE} - Addicted...again
A couple weeks my mom told me about SimCity BuildIt and I have been playing that non-stop. Thhheeennn on Monday she told me about Cooking Fever and I can't stop playing THAT! I get addicted way to easily to these games.

{FOUR} - Movie Night
Troy and I like to have movie nights. So Wednesday he picked up a few Redboxes, a whole bunch of snacks, I made dinner and then we bucked down on the couch for the whole evening. I love times like that. We watched Run All Night (meh) and Ex-Machina (yeh).

{FIVE} - Catch Up
Met up with my pals Ashby and Trina. I see Ashby all the time but it had been a while since I saw Trina. We met up for margaritas and Mexican food. A win-win.

How was your week?
Any good plans for the weekend?

7 Randoms

via

1. I have four pillows sitting on my stairs waiting to be thrown away. They NEED to be thrown away. They are old and I have already bought four new ones. But for some reason I can't just throw them away! That's the hoarder in me.

2. Apparently my condo is holding a spider convention. We're on week two. I try to suck them up in the vacuum or ask Troy to "take care of it" (he's nicer than I - he'll set them outside). I showed one mercy on Sunday and it kept taunting me. That was the last mercy shown in my place!

3. I found a new trick: After you clean your toilet instead of putting the toilet brush back in the container all gross and wet - you let it dry under the lid! Duh!

4. This week Troy said to me "how am I suppose to keep up [in conversation] with you if you switch subjects in the middle of the sentence?" WHOOPS. I think I do this all the time. I can see how that could be frustrating.

5. My manager destroyed this {rented} chair in our office. I don't' know why but it REALLY pisses me off. Well I know why - destroying other people's property is just a general lack of respect for yourself and others. Plus it makes our office look trashy as hell.

he somehow dug up the arm rest and then decided to tape them back together? WTF?

6. I'm two episodes away from finishing the series of Sons of Anarchy. I'm sad. Is Charlie Hunnan in anything else? I'm going to miss seeing his butt.

7. I met with a client yesterday who is also a big audible fan and I nearly pooped my pants. We spent probably 1/4 of the meeting talking about audiobooks. That's the geek in me.

What's a random thought you are having today?

“He had no money and no home; he lived entirely on the road of the racing circuit, sleeping in empty stalls, carrying with him only a saddle, his rosary, and his books....The books were the closest thing he had to furniture, and he lived in them the way other men live in easy chairs.”

Over the weekend I got in about 6 hours of audiobooking during the road trip. I'm SO into this story. I can't wait to finish it - I just have to know how everything turns out ;).

What do you think?

Have you read this and/or seen the movie?

I say just go ahead and add this to your TBR pile right now if you haven't already.

Monday Morning Coffee {virtual coffee}

Hi.

Monday is back. Again.

Ugh.

via
So - how was your weekend? Let's catch up over a few sips!

{Sip 1}
I hopped in the car on Friday and headed up to Pittsburgh. My little sister Maggie (who is 13 and the sweetest little gal in the whole world) is up from Florida visiting her grandmother for 3 weeks. I invited myself up to her Mimi's house so I could get time in with both of them.

{Sip 2}
Once I got into the Burgh my little sister and cousin wanted to go see Ant-Man. If it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't have even Netflixed this movie but I'm glad they let me tag along and see it with them - it was actually really funny. I was very entertained and amused!
via
{Sip 3}
Jan (aka Maggie's Mimi) had told me that when I came up to visit her she had a stack of magazines for me that she was saving. To my delight - they are cross stitch magazines ranging in dates from 1987-1997. I'm sure this may sound lame and make me sound like such a dork but I'm so excited to get to go thru them!

{Sip 4}
Maggie is have a crash course in all things crafty this summer while at Jan's house. Sewing, knitting and crochet are all on the table. When I was Maggie's age (probably younger) Jan taught me how to cross-stitch and sew and a bunch of other things so I know that Maggie will go home with a head (and suitcase) full of new things. I showed Maggie how to crochet - by the time I left Sunday AM she had one fingerless mitt completed. The girl is a quick learner!

{Sip 5}
I got back Sunday evening. Immediately did some housework and laundry and crashed. I'm looking forward to my manager being out of town this week (momentary relief) but I have a busy week ahead of me filled with meetings, meetings, and more meetings. Let's hope I make it til Friday!

How was your weekend?

What's your week looking like so far?

Is your coffee still hot?
