Personal Development Books To Read

I did TERRIBLE with my reading goals last year. I don't think I read even5 books last year - oooh the shame of it all!

I really think by me not blogging and having someone (you) to hold me accountable for my reading goals - things really fell by the wayside.

This year I'm going to make up for it!
I have pre-planned to read AT LEAST 6 of these 8 PD books (on top of all the chicklit I want to read)

All of which I have picked for myself and ones that I have been wanting to read (all of last year).

I'm starting with The Four Agreements. I'm about 70% in to it now. It just makes SO much sense.
I'll do a blog post on it later so keep an eye out for that!

Also on my list:
- The Miracle Morning
-Daring Greatly
-The Happiness Project
-Get Over Your Damn Self
-Rising Strong
-You Are a Badass
-The Power of Now

I hope to end 2017 a more developed person than I have started it to be!

What PD books have you read and recommend?
What PD books do you want to read?

Remember I told you I was going to go to a Vision Board Party in this Post?

Well I went and it was FANTASTIC!

here's my board so far:

I put everything with Push Pins instead of gluing things down so I can change or board at any time.

It was a great together with these fantastic ladies.
Thanks to Maria for hosting!

Caron Cake Tunisian Crochet Blanket

Caron Cakes were all the rage a few months ago -- are they still a popular thing?

I picked up about 5 skeins of the Faerie Cake and have been slowly adding rows to this beauty:

My original idea was to do a Trip Around The World Blanket but as I got a few rounds into I decided -- It was UGLY!

Look see for yourself:

Not cute right?

So I unraveled and started again:

And every time I get a spare moment I do a few loops whenever I can.

It is a really enjoyable blanket to make. I know I'll be sad whenever this project comes to an end.

Hanging Herb Garden

Another bright idea brought to you by: Pinterest 😼

I have been dying over this pin for ages so I finally made it to Ikea to make my own Hanging Herb Garden:

Great for a small spaces and now I have access to fresh herbs every day!

Here's what you need to make your own:

Fintorp Rail from Ikea
Fintorp Hooks ... also from Ikea
Fintorp Utensil Holder...from ... you guessed it - Ikea!

I bought the herbs from the grocery store - your store probably has them to you just have to keep an eye out for them. Usually in the fresh food area with the veggies.  I picked: mint, thyme, rosemary, basil, parsley and going to add cilantro soon.

Pick a sunny area (close to the window) get your leveler out (or eyeball it like I did), screwdriver/drill and boom - in less than 10 minutes you have a quick and cute wall garden!
